Market Street Station was formed in 2021 on an out-of-service Muni train from the fumes of urban escapism and San Francisco fog. The duo, composed of Garrett Wilmoth and Dâryuš Makâni, makes music out of their Tenderloin apartment and inspires the City’s weary commuters to break free of the rat race. MS2’s queer identities inform their lyrics and themes, and their influences range from classic rock to folk, funk, and punk. In 2022, they self-released their breakout single STAB ME!!, which set the stage for their first EP, Urban Incident No. 1. IN January 2025, they released their newest single, ‘GEhenna’, with 4Against Music.
